Spanner Jazz Punks play Zenith Bar
Bobby Demers, drummer and former tutor at CM will perform with Spanner Jazz Punks (a highly entertaining energy filled, comic, dance band) on July 17th at Zenith Bar, 125 Packington St. N1 7EA. The group also includes keyboard player and CM tutor, Robbie Knight.
Spanner Jazz Punks were created with the aim of injecting quality madness into an entertainment machine, merging genres and disciplines and taking on the slow but sure decline of creative spirit due to guitar hero games, reality TV, fast food, carbon trading and ‘blind eye turning syndrome’.
Expect a high level of musicianship and diverse instruments such as moog, strings, accordion, oud, recorders, hurdy-gurdy, as well as the more usual sound of drums, bass, reeds, brass, guitars, organ, zither and voices.
