Shiva Sound System and BEAST Present: Driving Lolita
Wednesday 9th November is the date for the first club session in BEAST (East London Bass Fest). CM is curating the series of events in partnership with the BBC’s Bobby Friction and East London record labels Shiva Sound System and Nasha Records.
D-Code (Erstwhile Radio 1 DJ and producer for the video game “DJ Hero”) presents his new band DRIVING LOLITA, spawned out of a remix project with the Foreign Beggars.
Shiva Sound system have been on the London club scene since 2000. Having gained eminence from holding outlandish raves in their Warehouse HQ in Hackney, their innovative, cross-genre approach to D&B, Electro, Punk and Breaks turned heads, instigating their establishment in East London’s club land.
Since then, the collective have toured internationally, released records, hosted shows on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, helped develop the video game DJ Hero and sound tracked movies.
Essex born head producer D-Code has spent the last couple of years feverishly bringing to life his strange musical visions in Driving Lolita.
You’re invited to their debut at The Nest in Dalston
The genre bending continues as Driving Lolita are supported by Japanese Electric Noise-core outfit PSEUDO NIPPON.

SUBTERRA - Ram Record’s sister label Frequency houses some of the most destructive Drum & Bass dance floor tunes. Their artist Subterra flips that background on a more experimental, alternative flex, more attuned to his work with Shiva Sound system.
BAMBOOCLART - Birmingham based Bass-Bandit.
Beast (East London Bass Fest) is a collaboration between CM and East London based music acts, coming together through a series of gigs, workshops and seminars.
Beast will feature six gigs across 5 months at prominent East London venues including XOYO, The Nest, Whitechapel Gallery and Corner Shop.
