Driving Lolita to Perform at BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend 2012

Driving Lolita are the result of a challenge former Radio 1 presenter D-Code (Dee Dhanjal) set himself. The drum and bass producer and head remixer for the computer game DJ Hero wanted to shift his sound in a completely new direction.

With the help of guitarist Abrar Hafiz, vocalist Graziella (a former X Factor contestant with Miss Frank) and collaborator Arrows Down, D-Code has achieved his goal producing tracks that are best introduced as electro-punk.

Driving Lolita were key contributors to the BEAST project earlier in 2012 which was collaboration between CM and East London based music acts, coming together through a series of gigs, workshops and seminars.
