CM work with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment for the Anthem 2012 Project

The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE) call themselves a period instrument orchestra- they play instruments from over 200 years old and try to create the sounds composers would have heard as they were composing their music.

Anthem 2012 is OAE’s largest ever education project. Working across the country in 10 different locations from Devon to York, the OAE will be joined by over 8000 people of all ages during 2012, working towards two unique concerts with a world class orchestra.

Students from CM’s Music Space and Music Space Academy have been working under the leadership of James Redwood and other members of OAE to produce music that blends old sounds with the more recent ones they are more accustomed to.

They will be taking part in the concerts held on Monday 18th of June at Kings Place and on Friday 22nd of June at Old Spitalfields Market.
