Born in the United Kingdom & raised in Hackney, Dean became interested in rap music @ the early age of 16. His piers know him as Surgical or Surge. His inspiration then was Ultramagnetic Mcs, Big Daddy Kane, EPMD, Kool G Rap, Wu Tang Clan, NWA, Busta Rhymes & a long list of other names. He began putting rhymes on scraps of paper & it just escalated from there. Any spare time Surge gets has been spent on building a catalogue of musical compositions to which he has done for various unknown but enthusiastic artists. To date he has approximately over 250 productions, 40 of which are finished productions for his solo project.
